Beiselia mexicana is a rare, deciduous pachycaul tree belonging to the frankincense and myrrh family, Burseraceae. It features a swollen, sculptural caudex or conical trunk with knobbly, grayish-green bark and a prehistoric look. In the wild, it can grow up to 25-30 feet tall. It is endemic to the dry, rocky slopes and forests of Michoacán, Mexico. It is considered endangered in the wild due to habitat disruption and illegal poaching. Plant is seed grown in 2.25" pot. Ships bare root.
